Airport Grab Guide

Taking Grab from Penang International Airport

Grab is a convenient way to travel from Penang International Airport to the conference venue. Participants are advised to download the Grab app, register an account and add a payment method before travelling to Malaysia. For an overview of all the ways to reach the venue, see Transportation.

Proceed to the E-Hailing Pick-Up Point

From the arrivals hall:

  1. Exit through Gate 3.

  2. Cross the road towards the Multilevel Car Park.

  3. Enter the car park at Ground floor.

  4. Turn right and follow the signs marked “E-Hailing Pick-up Point.”

  5. Wait at the designated e-hailing area or Grab Lounge. Now you can use the Grab app to book a ride to your destination.

The walk from the arrivals hall takes approximately five minutes. Participants with mobility difficulties may seek assistance from airport staff.

Meet the Correct Driver

After the booking is accepted, the app will display the driver’s name, photograph, vehicle model, colour and registration number. Check that the vehicle registration number matches the one shown in the app before boarding.
